Project Description

Jensen Belts Associates was the Project Lead to implement Boise’s first LIV (Lasting Environments, Innovative Enterprises and Vibrant Communities) District within the Central Addition. The Central Addition LIV District Streetscape Improvement Project encompasses five city blocks running the length of Broad Street from Capitol Blvd. to 2nd St.

The project focused on sustainable development including the use of permeable pavers in the parallel parking spaces, Silva Cell technology for healthier tree growth and storm water storage, and geothermal expansion.

A festive block was created to be the focal point of the district. A double allée of trees in the 24’+ wide sidewalk section provides ample room for festival activities and a lively pedestrian-centric city block.
